ROB RUN money guide: earn it, sell it, keep it

Learn how to make money in ROB RUN, sell loot, open a bank account and use the Laundering Desk. Compare earning routes and avoid losing unprotected cash.

Make money in ROB RUN by selling loot, transporting cargo, producing goods at a base, joining the Police, or collecting income from property and territory. To protect cash from theft, open a bank account as a Civilian and use the Laundering Desk at your base. That protection ends at the wipe.

The useful loop is earn → sell → collect the cash → launder → spend. Each step solves a different problem. Carrying valuables is not the same as having cash, and neither is the same as having protected bank funds.

Choose an earning route

RouteWhat you doWhat to think about
Loot and robberiesFind valuables and sell them.Criminal status exposes your bag and equipment to losses.
CargoTransport and trade shipments.Your route and vehicle become part of the job.
Base productionOperate businesses from your base.Establish a base and consider raid exposure.
PoliceWork a Police shift and confiscate contraband.Enlistment depends on available slots.
Settlement and territory incomeEarn a share from residents or controlled land.Ownership and personal collection matter.

These are documented earning systems, not a fastest-to-slowest ranking. For a first session, our advice is to learn one loop completely before spending on equipment for several different jobs. See the beginner guide if you are still learning Criminal status and city exits.

Sell loot and collect the proceeds

  1. Look for the dollar-sign van marked on the Looty Bay map, or use the Sales Center when it is available to you.
  2. Sell valuables to the fence.
  3. Pick up the cash left on the counter.
  4. Make a plan for storing or laundering the proceeds before continuing your run.

That third step is easy to overlook: money left on the counter is still vulnerable to theft or confiscation. Treat collecting it as part of the transaction, rather than assuming the sale has already moved everything into a protected balance.

Open an account and launder cash

Go to the Looty Bay Bank as a Civilian to open your account. Once you have access to a base and its Laundering Desk, put cash through the laundering process. It is not instant. ATMs let you withdraw cash when you need it.

Think of your earnings in three states:

  • Valuables: items that still need to be sold or used.
  • Cash: physical money that can be stolen or confiscated.
  • Banked funds: money protected from theft for the current wipe cycle.

This distinction helps diagnose why a successful job may not feel like progress. You may still be holding goods, may have left the payment behind, or may not have finished the laundering step. Check which state your reward is actually in before repeating the job.

Know what Lenny can store

Lenny’s storage accepts cash, not your collection of stolen goods. Use a base for goods, while remembering that a base can be raided. Storage, banking and base defense are separate systems; a cabinet is not a substitute for laundering money.

If your next run needs more storage, first identify what you are trying to protect. Cash and physical items have different solutions. Our base guide covers the document requirements for renting land and the security systems that slow intruders.

Understand income from property

Settlement ownership is a step beyond renting your own plot. The owner receives a share from tenants’ spending and laundering, but has to collect that income in person. Do not confuse a tax-generating property with money already transferred safely to your account.

The October Power Pyramid announcement explains how residents, settlement owners and district-owning clans fit together. The newer launch update changes Tier 1 settlement and rental payments to documents, so an older cash-based ownership plan may no longer match the current interface.

Avoid these expensive assumptions

“Banked means permanent.” Banked funds are protected from theft, but still reset during the Federal Raid. Read the wipe guide before saving for a purchase across cycles.

“A high payout is always the best route.” As a recommendation, compare the money you successfully keep with the time and equipment you risk. This guide does not claim an experimentally measured money-per-hour winner.

“Police equipment and badge income are unchanged from the playtest.” Launch balance changes affect that route. Check the Police guide before relying on an older video’s starting loadout or badge strategy.
