WHAT’S YOUR NEXT MOVE?

Start with the core decisions: earnings, survival, property and the next reset.

LAUNCH CHANGES TO KNOW

Tier 1 land now uses documents. Cash-based rental advice from the playtest is outdated.

Fresh-server cops start with pistols. Better equipment unlocks as the server ages.

ANSWERS BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT.

The mechanics players need most, with a full guide behind each answer.

Where do I sell stolen goods?

Find the dollar-sign van in Looty Bay or the Sales Center and sell to the fence. Pick up the cash from the counter; leaving it there exposes it to theft or confiscation.

Selling and cash collection ↗
How do I become a cop?

Enlist at the Looty Bay Police Station when a slot is available. Your equipment depends on progression and current server rules.

Police, badges and fresh-server equipment ↗
Does taking my mask off clear Criminal status?

The documented way to clear it is to leave the city. You can choose your role again when you next enter Looty Bay.

Criminal status and escape ↗
Why can’t I rent an empty plot?

The settlement needs an owner, the plot must be available, and you need its required documents. Tier 1 rentals changed from cash to documents at launch.

Plot eligibility and base setup ↗
Are my goods safe at Lenny’s Motel?

Lenny’s storage is for cash. Use a base for goods, but remember that other players can raid it. Bank protection applies to laundered funds, not every item in storage.

Storage, cash and bank funds ↗
What survives a Federal Raid?

The documented carry-over list includes cosmetics, player name, tutorial progress, settings and accumulated jail time. Plots, bases, weapons and cash reset.

Wipe losses and retained progress ↗
Why can’t I get another free rental car?

The documented free-rental condition is that you do not already have an active vehicle. Check that condition at a Parking Terminal first.

Rental, ownership and upgrades ↗
Where should I start with an error code?

Identify whether the code concerns the network, client version, authentication, anti-cheat or input devices. The troubleshooting guide maps each official code family to the relevant first step.
